Michael Grant (Ryan Robbins) is one of the most successful and sought after people in his field. If he weren’t an escaped convict robbing banks for a living, he’d probably enjoy his notoriety.
Before his passing in 2007, Patrick “Paddy” Mitchell became one of the most famous bank robbers in North America. Written while incarcerated in Leavenworth Prison, Marilyn is a beautiful and raw story based on one of Paddy’s adventures. While on the lam and robbing banks for enough money to keep afloat, Michael Grant meets and falls in love with a much younger woman also on the run from the law – the beautiful, uninhibited Marilyn (Allison Mack). As they find themselves punched in the eye by love at the most inopportune time, both Michael and Marilyn start reevaluating everything they once thought important.
Michael: Let’s go over the facts alright. You’re alone. Your parents are in prison. You hitchhike in dangerous places. You have no money. You have no clothes. You have no job. You have nowhere to live, you have nowhere to go. What do you do to better your situation? Sex. You just sleep with anybody for anything.
Marilyn: You know, maybe I like sex.
Michael: Marilyn, I don’t think you know the first thing about sex. Have you ever had a conversation with someone you just had sex with? God forbid, ever fallen in love? You know what it’s like to miss someone so much that you can’t breathe without them? My guess, that’s a big fucking no.
.. the smile on my lips when I looked at you pretty much said it all
